ROB HENRY
June 21, 1961 - September 4, 2003
Joining the society in 1980, Rob joined younger brother Jim Henry in the Ambassadors of Harmony and continued the family tradition that their father, Bob, started years earlier. Blending with brother Jim on bass, Rob's smooth baritone and ability to place the notes "just right" is what helps to give the GHG's it's full, mellow sound.
Rob worked as a mortgage lender for American Nationwide Mortgage and was also one of the directors for the Ambassadors of Harmony and a sought after coach.
On September 4, Rob left us to go home to Jesus. Rob was diagnosed with esophageal cancer on May 30th. His struggle with this horrible disease brought him closer to Jesus. His life touched hundreds of people as we have seen through the thousands of cards, letters and emails sent to him in the short three months he fought for his life.
Rob leaves behind his wife Sue and their son Ryan Lee who was born in 2000. You can see more information on Rob's last few months with us on the Remembering Rob page.
UPDATE 1/15/2013
Here is the GHG with Rob's son Ryan who was only 2 when we lost Rob. This was at the Orlando Mid Winter Convention where the GHG sang after 8 years of not singing together. It was an amazing weekend.
