Kipp joined the Louisville Thoroughbred Chorus at the age of 14 along with his dad Ken and brother Todd. Ken sang with the top 10 finalist Citations quartet and more recently with the 2003 Seniors Quartet Champs The Barons. Todd sang in a quartet called Tabasco Cats in the 1990's and placed 21st in 1997 at the international contest. The Buckner family has a rich barbershop heritage indeed.

Kipp is one of 3 elite members of the barbershop society who have won the coveted gold medal THREE times. In 1987 with the Interstate Rivals quartet, with the GHG in 1993 and in July of 2011 with Old School.

He moved to Cincinnati in 1988 where he joined the Southern Gateway Chorus and played an active roll on their music team. He also is a proud member of the Ambassadors Of Harmony.

Kipp works for the University of Louisville and also dabbles in web design and development, like THIS site!

Kipp lives in Louisville KY with his wife Kimberley and his children Kila, Keegan and Kennedy. They also have two dogs...Louelle and Moufette.
